The Receptionist is the first point of contact for visitors and SAS families. This position is responsible for receiving, handling, or redirecting incoming calls or visitors in a prompt, professional, and customer focused manner; while demonstrating the highest degree of extraordinary care and customer focus. Additional responsibilities include providing clerical support to the Admissions Office. It is expected that the Central Office School Receptionist will assist other members of the Admissions Staff and Administration, as needed.
Greets and receives all SAS visitors, guests, and community members in a courteous and welcoming manner.
Acts as a knowledgeable ambassador to direct, guide, and connect visitors and current parents, as appropriate, to the relevant offices and departments.
Handles incoming calls in a prompt, courteous, efficient and tactful manner.
Maintains the reception area, the first point of contact for visitors, in a neat and presentable manner.
Provides admissions visitors with service excellence, guiding them to the admissions lounge, receiving them in a welcoming manner.
Updates the fields in the enrollment management database (Veracross) as and when needed, along with assisting the admissions team on projects, activities and with various email accounts.
Arranges for taxis for students, teachers or visitors, as needed.
Opens and redirects incoming mail addressed to “,” and channels unopened confidential correspondence directly to the receiving employee.
Coordinates and records the telephone transaction log, courier services, and personal postage, by Division.
Ensures that the photocopying machine is operational and that the Central Administration Office has an adequate stock of photocopy paper and supplies.
Readily assists other members of the administrative staff, Central Office Administration and Division Administrators, as necessary.
Maintains the strictest confidentiality of information and correspondence and fulfills all responsibilities while abiding by the Board policies, school regulations and a demonstration of the school values.
Keeps information well organized and in an accessible manner.
Is a self starter who demonstrates a positive attitude and proactively takes initiative to readily assist with a strong customer focus.
Relates to students, parents, colleagues, visitors and community members with empathy and a demonstrated strong service excellence mindset.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Admissions Director and Central Office Administration
