Job Description

The person in this position will embrace the overall purpose of SAS Admissions which is to lead a positive family transition experience. Our team goal is to understand, showcase and build an optimal learning community, supporting one well-known, well-served family at a time. At SAS, we value exceptional customer service which focuses on people first. We seek a high performing individual who embraces a supportive team approach. Together we offer hospitality to several thousand visitors per year and manage applications leading to over 900 newly accepted students annually.

Overview

Meeting new families; conducting walking tours of the campus and classrooms; explaining the SAS mission, vision and philosophy providing detailed information on the curriculum of the divisions (Early Learning Center, Elementary, Middle and High School). In addition, the job requires skilled administrative support of the application process (staying on top of heavy correspondence, database and other documentation, procedural workflow, file review, analytics, screening and evaluation of applications). In general the work is best supported by a person who can offer personalized service with great technical, marketing, communication, and organizational skills.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Guide the admission journey of prospective SAS families, communicating with them via phone, campus visit, or email.
  • Manage applicant files by organizing and responding to incoming documents, making follow-up requests, updating the admissions database.
  • Support and assess applicants through file reviews, documenting insights, arranging for screenings and other reviews and communicate and share results with school administrators and specialists.
  • Manage tours and visits from prospective families with hospitality, trustworthy information and flexibility.
  • Support the team with special projects, both internal and external related to integrated admission-marketing communications.
  • Oversee applications and communications for the SAS Summer Semester & JumpStart programs (January-to-August).
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all records, correspondence, etc. in a well-organized, discreet and accessible manner, while maintaining professionalism regarding families, SAS and other institutions.
  • Fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position and abide by all Board and school policies and procedures.
  • Work cooperatively and provide assistance as necessary to other members of the Office team, while displaying a positive work attitude and initiative.
  • Relate courteously and effectively with students, parents, school personnel and community members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions.
Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation will depend upon education, and work related experience. Benefits include medical coverage, group life and short-term disability, dental coverage, sick leave, annual leave, AWS at 1.5 months, and opportunities for continued professional growth.

  • College degree, experience in Admissions and Marketing, or non-profit work desired
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, discretion and ability to handle multiple responsibilities and priorities concurrently.

  • Knowledge of curriculum, facilities and enrollment working environment are a plus.
